7-Figure Leadership

7-Figure Leadership

December 1, 2019 Ken & Tiana Hardison

No matter what your current income is, you can increase it through “7 Figure Leadership!”

Having worked with company owners to help grow their business and personal income. This always requires personal growth as a leader.

My coaching consistently reinforces the principle that, “in order to have more, you must become more”! Lawyers are no exception.

Managers tell people what to do and leaders inspire others to their personal best. With this in mind, let’s explore what timeless principles exist that can we can learn from.

I will introduce you to one of my favorite authors on the subject.

The following is a short summary of John Maxwell’s “5 Levels of Leadership”, a book I highly recommend reading.

Leadership is a Verb, not a noun.

Level 1: Position — “Rights”

• Lowest level of influence
• People follow you because they have to

Level 2: Permission — Relationship

• People follow you because they want to
1. You listen well
2. You observe your people well
3. You learn about your people
• You are servant oriented

Level 3: Production— Results

• You lead by example (Modeling)
• You have ‘Momentum” working for you
• Problems are solved here (because of your momentum)

Level 4: People Development — You have a clear picture of what a good employee (leader) looks like

• You increase the capacity of your people
1. You recruit well – “The Right People”
2. You position them well – “Right Seat”
3. You Equip well
• You do it
• You do it, they observe
• They do it, you observe
• They do it (by themselves)
• They train someone else the same way

“Successful people have discovered what they’re good at. Successful leaders discover what others are good at.”

Level 5: Pinnacle — People follow you because of who you are and what you represent

• You produce a level 5 organization
• You create a legacy within your organization
• You create an extended platform for leading

Summary
In the process of becoming a Level 5 Leader, you’ll need to adapt a mindset of what that looks like for you. It’s a must you read books on the subject, attend seminars and hire coaches that will help you step your game up.

The follow-up article, “7 FIGURE LEADER”, will tackle the habits of 7 Figure Leaders and is found in the PILMMA Membership Toolkit.
