The Personal Injury Lawyers Marketing & Management Association (PILMMA) is the innovation of Kenneth L. Hardison, the senior partner of Hardison & Cochran, author, and the founder of Law Practice Advisor. Ken created PILMMA in order to fill the void of marketing and management resources available to personal injury and disability lawyers.
Because groups like the Legal Marketing Association mainly serve transactional and large corporate lawyers, PILMMA was solely created for personal injury and disability law practices.
Our mission is to transform the lives of 5,000 injury and disability law firm owners from a life of frustration, overwhelm, and overwork to one of super profits, high productivity, and a balanced life.
To be the best and most sought after resource for marketing and managing law firms, because we love helping attorneys become successful more than anyone else. We are not tactical. We are strategic and here for the longhaul. Our passion for your success grows every day and we want to be there every step of the way. It’s our sincere commitment to provide red carpet treatment to every member from day one. We nurture your businesses as if they were our own and we expect them to grow as such. Our nature is to be steadfast so even when you aren’t sure of your next move, we are. The trust we build with each client means more to us than anything else we do. We are dedicated to ensuring that your success is above and beyond what you ever imagined. Without you, we do not exist. Without your success, we are nothing.
As we grow, it has become more and more important to explicitly define the Core Values from which we develop our culture, our brand and our business strategies. These are the Ten Core Values we live by:
- Deliver WOW! Client Service
- Embrace and Drive Change
- Create a FUN Work Environment
- Be Adventurous, Creative and Open-Minded
- Pursue Continuous Growth and Education
- Enable our Members to Become Successful High Performance Law Firms
- Under-Promise and Over-Deliver
- Create And Nurture Relationships with Open and Honest Communication
- Treat Others as You Want to be Treated
- Build a Positive Team that is Passionate and Determined
Ken Hardison | Founder
Ken Hardison practiced Injury and Disability Law for more than 32 years and built one of the largest Personal Injury law firms in North Carolina. He still actively consults with his former partner, Ben Cochran, regarding the marketing of the firm. In addition, Ken has a small Social Security Disability Firm in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Ken attributes his success to his persistence and willingness to try new things, primarily in marketing. Ken has had proven success with his firm and, in 2009, decided to share his knowledge with other lawyers. This led to the creation of the Personal Injury Lawyers Marketing and Management Association. PILMMA is the only legal marketing and management association exclusively for Injury and Disability lawyers.
Ken is a native of Dunn, North Carolina. He graduated cum laude from Campbell University in 1979 and from Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1982.
Ken is also the author of “How to Effectively Market Your Personal Injury Law Practice in the 21st Century,” and numerous articles on marketing and managing Injury and Disability practices. He frequently addresses other lawyers and professional organizations focusing on marketing and managing contingency-based law firms. Ken is an accomplished speaker, legal coach, copywriter and lecturer.
It has become Ken’s mission to teach Personal Injury and Disability lawyers how to market, manage and grow their practices through their involvement with PILMMA.
